Player Name: Trippy Hare Character Name: none Item Name: Cat o' Nine Tails Item Class: 1-Handed Melee (I)MR: 3 Price: 250 Wealth Sell Price: 120 Wealth Description: Nine long, thin strips of leather tied into a single handle at the base. Each strip is over 6 feet long, and can include a nail, prong, or other sharpened implement at its tip. Often used as a torture instrument or spirit breaker on slave ships, the Cat o' Nine Tails is too short a whip to penetrate any sort of metal or metallic armor, but deals enormous damage to unprotected flesh. Its use in hardened combat is dangerous for the user, as well, since individual 'tails' have been known to swing around and hit their owner. It is especially dangerous to its owner if s/he misses a target, and all nine tails swing back around. Enhancements/bonuses: +9 to Damage dealt, additional +5d6 damage to unarmored targets. Whenever Cat o' Nine Tails misses an enemy, it deals 9 damage to its user. If Cat o' Nine Tails hits an enemy but deals no damage, it deals 2d6 damage to its user.
