For those who want to keep their foes at a safe distance, we have a wide variety of throwing weapons and projectile launchers here! Yes, there's far more than just bows and arrows in the Colosseum!
Ranged weapon classes also include what Type the weapon is: certain ammo can only be fired from a specific Type of weapon (bolts, for example, can only be fired from Crossbow type weapons).

Though it cannot penetrate many types of armor, the Chakram is an excellent weapon for beheading an opponent from a great distance away. It can somewhat return to its user, provided it does not get stuck, broken, or deflected. If that happens, the user must recover it before it can be thrown again. Enhancements/bonuses: +1d6 damage to unarmored targets.

The Locust Cry is capable of launching many bolts in rapid succession, and does not require any hand-cranking or manual pulling back of the string. Locust Cry uses 10 bolts per attack action, so it is imperative that one has a large stock of ammo when using it. Can only fire Bolt-type ammo. Enhancements/bonuses: Uses 10 Quantity of ammo per attack (only one attack roll is made), only applies to specialty ammo. Deals +10 damage on successful hit. -1 Dexterity. Secular characters only.

The cylinder also acts as a handle, and features a pumping device used to build up the air pressure that fires the weapon. Can only fire Flechette-type ammo. The Dreamtime Staff does not require any ammo to use, though if ammo is used, it becomes far more effective. Enhancements/bonuses: +3 to IMR for ammo used- if no ammo used, attack has an IMR of 3. +1d4 damage without ammo, +2d4 damage with basic ammo, +4d4 damage with specialty ammo.
